Where do these character limits come from?
They match each platform’s published limits for bios, captions, titles and descriptions at the time this tool was built. Platforms change these occasionally, so double check if you notice a mismatch.
What does the truncation preview show?
Some fields, like Instagram and TikTok captions, only show the first part of your text before a \’more\’ link. The preview highlights that visible portion so you can put your hook or keyword before the cutoff.
Does this count emoji and special characters correctly?
It counts characters the way most platforms do, where an emoji can count as more than one character. Very long strings of emoji may count slightly differently than the platform’s own counter.
Is my text stored anywhere?
