FAQ
Where does this pricing formula come from?
It starts from widely cited industry rules of thumb, roughly $10 per 1,000 Instagram followers as a baseline, then adjusts for platform, content type and your own engagement rate. Actual deals vary a lot by niche, usage rights and negotiation.
Why does my engagement rate affect the price?
Follower count alone does not predict how many people actually see and act on a sponsored post. An account with an above-average engagement rate usually commands a higher rate than a same-sized account with weak engagement.
Should I charge exactly what the calculator shows?
Treat the range as a starting point for negotiation, not a fixed rate. Usage rights, exclusivity, whiteboarding time and production effort can all justify charging more than the base estimate.
Is my data stored anywhere?
No. The estimate is calculated in your browser from the numbers you enter, and nothing is sent to a server or saved.
